Demolition and Rebuild after faulty earthquake repairs
Client Vision
Ben and Katharine came to us with a clear vision: a home that balanced everyday functionality with a refined finish, tailored to their family’s lifestyle. They wanted a build that felt modern yet warm, with details that would stand the test of time.
The Challenge
Due to the faulty earthquake repairs, Ben and Katherines home needed demolition and rebuilding. This gave them a chance to design a home that fits their lifestyle and needs.
Our Approach
From the outset, we worked closely with Ben and Katharine to refine the design and ensure every choice — from layout to materials — aligned with their goals. Our focus was on:
Transparency in process: clear communication and upfront quoting so there were no surprises.
Craftsmanship in detail: ensuring every finish, joint, and surface reflected the quality we stand for.
Collaboration: working alongside trusted partners and suppliers to deliver the best outcome.
The Build
The project progressed smoothly thanks to careful planning and open dialogue with the clients. We paid particular attention to:
Maximising natural light and flow between spaces.
Selecting durable, high-quality finishes that elevate the home’s feel.
Keeping the build on schedule without compromising on detail.
Highlights
The Stapletons build is defined by its timeless exterior and thoughtful detailing. Timber weatherboards give the home a classic, enduring character, while Abodo feature cladding at the entrance and soffits creates a warm, natural welcome. To complete the envelope, high‑performing APL Centrafix windows were integrated seamlessly into the design, maximising light and efficiency without compromising on style. Together, these elements deliver a home that feels both refined and resilient — crafted to stand beautifully for years to come.
The Result
The finished home is a true reflection of the clients vision — a space that feels both welcoming and enduring. It’s a build that not only meets their immediate needs but will serve their family well into the future.
